Obituary of Ronald Perkins

Ronald (Ron) Perkins went home to his Heavenly Father on January 16, 2023. He was 79 years old and resided in Englewood, FL. Ron was a long-time member of Gray Road Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He most recently attended Community Presbyterian Church in Englewood, FL. 

Ron was born to John & Genevieve Perkins on December 18, 1943, in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from Warren Central high school. During his children’s adolescence, Ron volunteered with Little League, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Awana youth ministry. His career was in the typesetting industry, where he worked for Weimer Typesetting and Printing Partners, before retiring in 2009. After retirement, Ron enjoyed road trips with friends on his Harley motorcycle, including a cross-country trip to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Ron is survived by his children: Andrew (Melissa), Fishers, IN, Jessica (Jonathan Kolanowski), Carmel, IN, Joshua, Carmel, IN; and grandchildren: Madison, Nathan, Caleb, Corbin, and Ethan; and sister: Joyce Marie Bryant; and brothers: Michael, Joe (Phyllis) and Greg (Charlene). He is predeceased by his sisters, Genny and Susie, and his brothers, John and Jeff.

The funeral service will take place Tuesday, February 21 at Cornerstone Lutheran Church, Carmel, IN. Visitation will be at 10:00 am, followed by an 11:00 am service in the Prayer Chapel. There will be a luncheon afterwards.
