Obituary of Ruth H. Kuchler

Ruth H. Kuchler, age 101, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and formerly of Annapolis, MD passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold W. Kuchler of 64 years. Ruth is survived by six loving children, Helen Middleton, Ruth (and Len) DiPace, Mary (and Sonny) DePatto, Gina (and Ted) Cymbalista, Ray (and Donna, deceased) Kuchler, and Bill (and Tesa) Kuchler. She also is survived by fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Ruth was born on November 2, 1919, the youngest of thirteen children, in Brooklyn, New York. She moved with her husband to West Nyack, New York in 1950 and lived there for twenty years before moving to Pennsylvania to pursue her passion to raise animals (ducks, chickens, sheep, horses, cows, rabbits, dogs, and cats). She was also an avid and original organic vegetable gardener. She then moved to Carmel, Indiana, and lived there for several years before going to Hendersen, Nevada for 3 ½ years, Annapolis, Maryland, and most recently, Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the past year. She was in the process of moving to Port Charlotte, Florida at the time of her passing. She was passionately patriotic, witty, humorous, and had a tremendous zest for life. For the last fifteen years, Ruth traveled throughout the U.S., Canada, and Ireland attending concerts and in one year, went to more than 75 concerts of her favorite singer and family friend, Daniel O'Donnell. Her genuine personality, guidance and unlimited love will be missed by all. Ruth will join her husband at the Florence, SC National Cemetery with graveside services to be held at a later date.
