Obituary of Doris Babcock Rudewicz

Doris, B. Rudewicz, 92, of Rotonda West, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. She was born on November 11, 1928 in Hadlyme, CT to William and Louise (Helm) Babcock. Doris graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Moodus CT in 1947. Doris and Rudolph married in 1948 and lived in Chester CT until 2009 when they moved to Florida. Doris was a working Mom, holding various office jobs , was a member of the DAR and when retired, volunteered at her church. She loved visiting the casinos and playing bingo and you could find her sunbathing from May to October. She is survived by her children: Carol Louisgnan, Peter Rudewicz, brother: George Babcock, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband Rudolph in August 2011 a son: Rudolph, Jr. in July 2010 and her brother: George Babcock. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Sarasota National VA Cemetery.
