I grew up with Cindy in Rockville, Ma. We were good friends and always had great adventures. Her mom always called us the Campbell Kids. Cindy was an honest, athletic, beautiful yet humble person. I was stunned to hear of her death. Even though I haven't seen her in 50 years, she was a large part of my childhood. God Bless! Ann Batchelder Murphy Virginia.

I just heard about Cindy. It's impossible for me to describe how saddened I am by the news. Although I hadn't seen her in many, many years, I never forgot her and never will. She was a truly special person. My sincerest condolences to all of the family.
The world will be a lesser place without her.

As I sit watching my candle burn, I am trying hard not to focus upon not being able to make that trip to Florida to see Cindy one more time. Instead, I will think about those trips to Manomet and when we got to visit with each other as young brides in Presque Isle, Maine. Then my mind wanders back to camping out with the Brownies or walking up to Rockville to hang out. However, the high school memories are the strongest. Cindy was amazing. She was smart, pretty, athletic, and popular. How many people get to say they were the student body president and the captain of most of the sports teams. Plus, she was nice to everyone. Reading other people's comments I see that her kindness continued throughout her adult years. My life was definitely better for those times we had together. I will always remember you and your family fondly and all that you did for me. :two_hearts::two_hearts::two_hearts:

I met April (Cindy) a year after I moved to Florida, 9yrs ago. She was a fun, caring loving person. She was always there to lend a helping hand, an ear to listen, advice to give and shoulder to cry on. She has lite many hug candles for me. She was my angel and I was blessed to have her in my life. I will miss her terribly but will treasure the memories we made. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Cindy was an amazing woman! I am so glad to have known her for over 20 years. She made me feel welcome when I first set foot in the "House of Pontz". She always had a smile, hug and something nice to say. We so enjoyed visiting with Randy and Cindy in FL, AZ and MA. Her kind heart and spirit will live on in all the lives she touched in such a positive way. Randy, RJ and April, we love you and can't imagine how much you are missing her now.

Dear Randy, Randy Jr, and April,
Sending our deepest condolences on the loss of dear Cindy. She was such a kind, loving person with the biggest heart. We have so many wonderful and funny memories of our Millis visits. She made my sisters and I feel so special having us all in her wedding. She was always the caretaker, making everyone feel so special. She was such a devoted daughter to her parents and took such good care of them in their later years. I feel so blessed to have gotten to have such a wonderful conversation with her just a couple of weeks ago. The world is a little less bright today for sure. We love you Cindy, may you rest in peace.
Love, Tony and Dee

When Cindy was inducted into the "House of Pontz" 46 years ago, when she married Randy, she was shy, cautious, even a bit timid of the Pontz bluntness, jabs, and all around roudiness. Her traditional initiation into the "House of Pontz" was long and intimidating. However, as a quick learner, while she was still a newbie Pontz she soon learned to not only hold her own at Pontz gatherings; but began to initiate clandestine puns, tall tales, teases and verbally shadow box with the best of us. Within a few short years Cindy became a legend within the Pontz family and most of us became intimidated by her wit,and creativity while still being sensitive. Cindy also became personally responsible for protecting and training anyone who was a new Pontz and help them through the initiation process. A few years ago, prior to a family reunion, over 35 Pontz's voted Cindy "Queen of the Pontz's" and made her walk the gauntlet complete with a crown. She did so with both a smile and tears.
Those of us who have known Cindy for almost 46 years have been humbled by Cindy's heart felt care giving nature as well as the feeling of Joy she spread to anyone she ever met. Cindy, just being Cindy, unintentionally made us a better people then we were before we met her.
Cindy, we will miss you but you will always be a part of us.
