God bless you as you rejoice around the throne of God and meet all those who have gone before, especially your beloved, Wally who we never were privileged to know, but got to follow at Calvary Baptist Church. What a heritage all the family has. I have fond memories of this lovely lady, Joan Prince Metts. Gayle McQueary

Dear Metts Family,
Our family was so blessed and privileged to know Wally and Joan and you children. We first met you when you and your family moved in next door in the duplex on Cathy Lane in Chattanooga. Jim was in college at TTU, and Wally, Jr. was entering his first year at TTU.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time together at Berean Baptist Church and Christian Academy. We will never forget the wonderful Thanksgivings up on Signal Mountain that we and many others shared. Many of us could not travel home to our relatives for Thanksgiving, so your home became our home on that special day. We enjoyed those times temendously.
We were always encouraged by your folks and felt truly accepted and loved. We were certainly saddened and shocked by your Father's passing a few years ago, and are now grieving your Mom's passing, but not "as those who have no hope." One day we will all be reunited, and what a day that will be!!
Love,
Carolyn and Jim Williams

Dear Metts Family,
I have fond memories of our time at Berean, growing up in the church, and learning under the ministry of Pastor and Mrs. Metts. The impact they had on my life and future ministry was, and continues to be, tremendous! My fondest memory of Joann was the Thanksgiving dinners at her mountain home, her feeding her precious goats and cooing at them, and hiking down the mountain with the kids. She always made us feel at home when we were with her! May God wrap His arms of peace, comfort, and love around you all. Looking forward to seeing Bro. and Mrs. Metts in heaven someday when we can sing "Thank you for giving to the Lord. I am a life that was changed!"
Love, Deb Williams Thompson

Dear Metts Family, I have fond memories of singing special music at Berean Baptist Church. I would always find the radiant smile of Mrs Metts beaming up from her place on the second, row encouraging us as we sang. She was a continual source of joy and love to everyone she met. I'm grateful for the impact your parents ministry had in my life. My love and prayers are with all of you in this time of loss.

PRAISE the LORD! Trials on earth are over. Glorious renunion in Glory with Jesus and the Saints of God. We look forward to our turn! We thank the Lord for the priviledge that was ours to have known and loved both Pastor and Joan. We pray for God to guide their family and the foundation they have laid for Calvary Baptist in these troubled days we are entering. Bound by Scripture, the HISRANCH Family.
